Erick Rodriguez-Arana – Vice-President, Jaguar Business Club
Hello,
My name is Erick, I am a co-founder, former President (prior to club mergance), current Vice-President of the Jaguar Business Club… and the website creator!
Despite being a second-year student, I am restless to supporting the Southwestern School of Business through the works I post here. With the endorsement of Dean Stravenga, I decided to create this website with barely any experience, to advance education in a peer-to-peer relationship. As I’m working on my CFA, SIE, and Series 7 licensing, I actively pour everything I’ve learned so far into this website. I believe that my vocation of sharing education from those fields is important for students aspiring financial independence/literacy. Hence, I co-founded the Jaguar Business Club and Real Estate Investment Group to provide students with hands-on experience and a community that values curiosity, discipline, and entrepreneurship.
With the experiences I have related to finance and economics, I anticipate to transfer to a four-year university, and work my way to becoming a Securities Attorney.
Some of my responsibilites at the Jaguar Business Club are but not limited to:
Leading the Jaguar Competitions Team for the Harvard Global Case Competition and the Fed Challenge
Organizing venues for members to participate in career-oriented joint activities with other clubs and local businesses
Assist our club executives and managers in their absences
Writing articles on our JBC Resource Page and developing our website
