Official Club Meetings (Week 5)

Official club meetings occur on a weekly basis. Prior to these meetings, executives follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which outlines agendas they would like to present to the President. Once approved by the President, these agendas are incorporated into our calendar (if applicable) and announced before the official club meeting takes place.

In the weekly official meetings, it is expected but not mandatory for all members to attend. In the event an executive is unavailable, a proxy will be provided to represent their constituent. During these regular official meetings, we participate in a wide-range of activities focused on improving financial literacy, which include but are not limited to:

  • Pitching business proposals on the club and JREIG affairs and operations, later to be used in voting material according to our SOP

  • Creating and presenting projects (i.e. The Jaguar’s Cage Challenge)

  • Teaching how to invest in real estate, stock trading, crypto, fix credit, and start their business

  • Preparing for our tournaments, which include the annual Harvard Global Case Competition and the Fed Challenge

  • Managing our simulated securities portfolio

  • Connecting freshmen students to seniors/transferring students, in a mentor-mentee dynamic for a tailored academic support

  • Networking and playing competitive educational games with rewards (401k Jenga, Finance Jeopardy, Credit Monopoly, etc.)

  • Occasional FINRA workshops (SIE study-together workshops)

  • Microsoft suite lab training

  • Interviewing guest speakers (underwriters, brokers, business owners, etc.), and more
